Linen Ministry: What is the Linen Ministry and can you help?

The Linen Ministry is a quiet ministry, which operates behind the scenes. This in-home ministry takes care of the washing and ironing of the purificators, corporals, towels and albs used at every Mass.

Ironing is not a glamorous or fun job, but for most of us a necessary part of our housework. Frequency of service depends on the number of participants. Team members are assigned to a specific month when they will pick up the used linens from the Work Sacristy, after the last Sunday Mass, wash and iron them, and return them to the Work Sacristy by Thursday.

If you are looking for a way to serve the parish in your home, this may be your calling.
At the present time 2 new ministers are needed on a monthly basis or as a substitute. Please call the Parish Office or contact Donna Pfaff at dpfaff@dsj.org to help fill this need.

on the right side of the church doors, near the entrance parking lot.

New drought resistant landscaping plans are in the works for that area.
